Porter's Gin
Photos by Pirate Photography
In this collaboration with Porter's Gin, the brief was to create a collection of one-off, decorative ceramic bottles that took inspiration from the story of the gin. I created a collection of five hand-built sagger bottles inspired the original bottle form. The method of sagger firing consisted of smoking the botanicals of the gin onto the surface within a tinfoil bag in the gas kiln. This technique resulted in pink peppercorn and Buddha hand markings on the bottles. To add the branding, Porter's printed their logo onto the bottles prior to firing.
